Our company, which has tackled odor control measures for various factories, will introduce some case studies. 【Odor Control Measures for Waste Treatment Facility Exhaust】 ■Background Odors emitted from the chimney of a facility that incinerates and dries waste were dispersing into the surrounding area, leading to odor complaints. We were consulted by the facility. We received a request to explore inexpensive measures that could be implemented within the existing chimney, and we considered a duct spray system as a solution. Our company, which has tackled odor control measures for various factories, will introduce case studies from overseas. 【Odor Control Measures for Automotive Parts Manufacturing Factory (Aluminum Casting)】 ■Background We received a consultation from an automotive parts manufacturing factory in Thailand that was experiencing odor complaints from surrounding factories and wanted to implement countermeasures. Upon checking the current situation, we found that the main odors were phenol, burnt smell, and ammonia odor generated during aluminum casting. Although measures such as raising the height of existing exhaust outlets had been implemented, complaints were still ongoing. Our company, which has tackled odor control for various factories, will introduce some case studies. 【Rendering Plant Exhaust Odor Control】 ■Background We received a consultation regarding odor control from a facility that properly processes parts of cattle, pigs, and chickens that are not suitable for human consumption into feed, fertilizer, and fuel. The emitted odors were a complex mix of deep smells, including the stench of rotting meat and the burning smell during processing. Due to budgetary constraints, we were asked if we could utilize existing ducts for the solution, and we proposed a duct spray system.
